Note to self: if CI is telling you that the build failed.
Maybe look into it even if it looks like the thing worked anyway :-).
Ont he plus side: it made a weird issue easier to debug.
Per request on Twitter, I made a couple videos on how my #freebsd daily experience is.
You can see them here:

(Won't upload the videos to chaos.social, to save storage to the admins :-))
I've been using computers for 20 years. UNIX-like for 17.
I have to search every single week at least once how to use `case` in shell scripts or `switch` in programming languages

So, I wrote down how to quickly update a #freebsd port.
I reckon this was a very easy one :-) but I sometimes forget a couple things myself and would rather find them quickly.
Do let me know if you find it useful.

Frigging deutsche #telekom is just as bad, actually worse, than microsoft at email.
«Two thousand years before me, the philosopher Seneca had experienced the same troublesome predicament: No matter where you go, your problems go with you.»
I associate the change to/from summer time with travelling places.
Well, that's not happening now.
GitHub's dependabot or... "Let me open a PR outside of your working hours because time zones do not exist and US is the only country ever. Also, if you don't reply within 2 hours, I'll close the PR with a passive-aggressive messsage"

Working from Home and forgot my mouse in the office...
Using Trydactil to compensate is good, but: any German speaking person will realise how terrible it is that the shortcut allows for `HH`.

More people should learn how to write and read properly.
Judging by multiple work environments: it doesn't look like that has been a core-skill in our education systems in decades.
I truly wonder how anything gets done.
These days in Germany (and everywhere) this song seems awfully relevant.
"Weil täglich immer mehr passiert.
Weil der Hass auf Fremde eskaliert.
[…]
Following on "it was MTU" yesterday...
"It was firewall" today.
Maybe tomorrow it'll be DNS.
