I just cancelled my #eff membership and will not be spending to them, can also not recommend anyone to do that.

The reason?

It looks like they are looking to push forward "Web3" and cryptocurrencies. Both bullshit, speculative technologies that create more real problems than they solve.

If you are an #eff member, maybe consider sending them an email cancelling your membership demanding them to change course.

Just remembered why I don't contribute to certain Open Source projects: "Developer Certificate of Origin"
I prefer my internet pseudonymous, thank you.

I feel cute whenever I get an email from a US company trying to be cool and showing they have a personal touch, so they call me "Andrés".

Someone should implement `-3` from `scp` into `rsync`.

That's literally the one flag I use `scp` for and I always get annoyed at `scp` doing "the wrong thing".

So, I'm fairly proficient at Python, but learned it back in 2.2/2.3 or so and kept up until about 3.5. Lately I have the feeling that 3.7 and particularly 3.8 are game-changers.
Are there any resources to re-learn modern #python, but assuming that one already knows it?
Just don't feel like going through all the changelogs and PEPs >,<.

Timing might be off but… I'm a tad surprised at just how little I notice Facebook, Google, Amazon or Microsoft having outages.
I basically get told the outages happened.
